Adding Colour to Life: Holi at Jan Seva

Today Holi “The Festival of Colour” was celebrated in advance at Jan Seva, since Sunday, (the actual date of 12 March being a Sunday and Holiday).

This tradition of playing with scented coloured powder was initiated by the Hindu Lord Krishna who would play with his beloved Radha and her friends known as 'Gopinis'. This age old Hindu Festival also complements the colourful 'Vasant Ritu' or Spring season, when nature is in its full bloom, accompanied by the beautiful song of the Cuckoos!

So here are our Children and Staff adding Colour to their lives to celebrate this Indian Festival.
