Independence Day Celebrations at Jan Seva

Jan Seva celebrated the 72nd Indian Independence Day today in the morning from 11 am with the children and adults of all the programs. Both the specially able and the normal kids participated in an Integration program which was the showstopper for the morning.

The event was gracefully designed with patriotic songs, dances, poems for recitation and a medley to mention a few. It was a difficult task to make the little hearts understand and coordinate each and every step but they obediently followed the choreography of their teacher's. The colourful kids looked like blooming flowers who were performing with excitement and enthusiasm.

Our Board members Mrs Sarita Dhir and Mrs Sheela Adeige graced the occasion. Each of the performances was enjoyed and applauded by the audience.

Ladies from the Vocational Training unit and from the Bengali Literacy class participated in singing patriotic songs to mark our Indpendence Day.

This was followed by the distribution of mementos and certificates for the following batches:

1. Adult Literacy English - 9th Batch 2. Basic Computer Literacy - 14th Batch
