Durga Puja Fancy Dress Party at Udaan

Mother Durga and her family

Today we celebrated the on going 'Nav Ratri' or the visit of Maa Durga (Hindu Goddess) to our homes for nine days. This is one of the most famous festivals of India, celebrated all over the country with gaiety, fun, frolic and feasting, especially in West Bengal! Colorful new clothes are worn and gifted to family members and friends and to all who have been a part of the family.

Our children of 'Udaan' have added colour to this festive season, before going for their 'Durga Puja' holiday by dressing up as Mother Durga, Saraswati, Laxmi, Ganapati and Kartikeya accompanied by their individual vehicles in the form of animals, respectively.

A special mention about our two special educators, Sumitra and Riya who have thought about this theme of celebrating 'Durga Utsav' and have put in a lot of effort in creating the numerous masks of animals and the various costumes and embellishments of the Gods and Goddesses'.
