Label Us Able... by Intervention, through Integration & with Inclusion
We celebrated International Disability Day on 3rd December at Umeed, an integrated program run at the Society For Indian Children’s Welfare. It was not just the day, we celebrated the approach, conviction, spirit and unwavering faith to committedly provide a sound platform for rehabilitation of our orphan and abandoned children with disabilities and integrate them into mainstream society.
It was rewarding to watch these children so happy, confident and strong with a steely determination to overcome all barriers! The ongoing commitment of the coordinators, teachers, doctors, staff, physiotherapist, occupational and speech therapist was obvious as we celebrated every accomplishment and a further leap. We stand firm in our belief that disability is only a limitation in our minds and can be overcome once society comes together!
Special thanks on this day to our donors whose unwavering support makes it happen!
