The First Batch of 16 students from Jan Seva adult programs is going to appear for the Basic Literacy Assessment under The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) examination which will be held on 19th March 2017 from 12.30 pm - 2.00 pm. The students had to enroll themselves for the Swabhimaan under the Adult Literacy program which takes place twice a year (March and August).

Jan Seva is the exam centre for the South part of West Bengal representing South 24 Parganas and Kolkata South. Thus another 17 outside students will give their exam from this centre.

We have 15 students who are appearing for the Bengali Literacy paper and one candidate for the Hindi Literacy Exam from our own Adult Literacy Program.

Aditi Majumdar will be the invigilator from Jan Seva on 19th March 2017. She will receive training for the same on 16th March 2017 at a Government of West Bengal Adult Literacy Centre unit for invigilation purpose.

The results are expected in May 2017.

And here’s wishing all of them the Best of Luck.
