Celebrating Independence honouring "Bharat Ki Beti"

Independence Day is more than a celebration; it’s a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our ancestors and the responsibilities we carry as the next generation of this great nation. Jan Seva proudly commemorated Independence Day 2024, marking the 78th anniversary of India’s freedom. The event was a vibrant fusion of patriotism, culture, and meaningful dialogue, reflecting the deep significance of Independence Day across generations.

A standout moment of UDAAN’s performances this year was “Bharat ki Beti,” a tribute to the daughters of our motherland. This powerful presentation highlighted the journey of Indian women who have triumphed over social injustices such as child marriage, sati, gender bias, female infanticide, and dowry. It celebrated remarkable figures in Indian history, including Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi, Indira Gandhi, Jhulan Goswami, and Kalpana Chawla, showcasing how women have excelled in fields once dominated by men.

This heartfelt effort from UDAAN beautifully illustrated the incredible journey of Indian women, honoring their strength and resilience.
